Why BanglaCode?
Every great project starts with a simple question. Ours was: "Why should language be a barrier to learning logic?"
The Spark
Growing up in West Bengal, I noticed how many brilliant minds struggled with English programming syntax. The logic was there, but the language barrier held them back.
The Passion
What if programming could feel like thinking in your own language? What if 'jodi' (if) and 'nahole' (else) could replace confusing English keywords?
The Mission
Inspired by BhaiLang (Hindi) and Vedic (Sanskrit), BanglaCode was born as an educational language for Bengali speakers. Unlike those toy languages, we built a full-featured language for real learning—with databases, servers, and modules.
The Future
We're building more than a language. We're building a bridge that connects 300 million Bengali speakers to the world of programming and technology.
"Programming is not about syntax. It's about problem-solving. And problem-solving has no language."
— The Philosophy Behind BanglaCode
More Than Code
A Movement for Indian Tech
BanglaCode is not just another programming language. It's a statement that technology belongs to everyone, regardless of their mother tongue. It's a celebration of Indian culture in the digital age, and a bridge that connects centuries of linguistic tradition with cutting-edge technology.
Cultural Pride
Celebrate Bengali heritage through technology. Programming in your native language is not just functional—it's a statement of cultural pride.
Inclusive Technology
Tech shouldn't be a Western monopoly. BanglaCode brings 300 million Bengali speakers into the digital revolution on their own terms.
Empowerment
Remove language barriers. Unleash the potential of brilliant minds who think in Bengali but are forced to code in English.
Community Building
Create a community of Bengali developers, entrepreneurs, and educators who contribute to India's tech ecosystem.
আমাদের দর্শন
Our Philosophy
"আমরা বিশ্বাস করি যে প্রযুক্তি আমাদের ভাষায় কথা বলতে পারে। বাংলায় কোড লেখা শুধু একটি ভাষা নয়, এটি একটি আন্দোলন।"
"We believe technology can speak our language. Coding in Bengali is not just about language—it's a movement for cultural representation in the digital world."
— BanglaCode Creators, West Bengal, India 🇮🇳
Our Vision
Bengali Speakers
Potential developers with access to native-language programming
Language Barriers
Think in Bengali. Code in Bengali. No translation needed.
Open Source
Free, transparent, community-driven development for everyone
Join the Bengali Tech Revolution
BanglaCode is more than a language—it's a symbol of Indian excellence in technology. Whether you're a student, educator, or developer, you're part of something bigger: proving that Indians can lead global tech innovation on their own terms.
Everything You Need to Learn & Build
An educational programming language with production-grade features—perfect for learning, but powerful enough for real projects.
29 Bengali Keywords
Natural syntax with keywords like 'dhoro' (let), 'jodi' (if), 'ghuriye' (for), 'proyash' (async) that feel intuitive to Bengali speakers.
Fast & Efficient
Go-powered tree-walking interpreter for quick execution. Lightweight runtime with efficient memory usage.
130+ Built-in Functions
Comprehensive library: math, strings, arrays, HTTP servers, JSON, file I/O, database connectors (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis), and OS-level access.
Async/Await Support
Modern async programming with 'proyash' and 'opekha' keywords. Handle promises and asynchronous operations naturally.
Error Handling
Try-catch-finally blocks with 'chesta', 'dhoro_bhul', and 'shesh'. Handle errors gracefully in your native language.
OOP Support
Classes, constructors, methods, and 'this' binding with 'sreni', 'shuru', 'kaj', and 'ei'. Learn OOP concepts naturally.
Module System
Import and export code with 'ano' and 'pathao'. Organize your code into reusable modules with aliases.
Cross-Platform
Run on Windows, macOS, and Linux. One codebase, deploy anywhere. Perfect for educational institutions.
Code That Speaks Bengali
Clean, intuitive syntax that feels natural. See how BanglaCode makes programming accessible.
